Ram compactors (or static compactors) use a hydraulic-powered cylinder with a heavy face plate to crush your waste and push it into an enclosed roll-on/roll-off container. The compactor is bolted to the floor and the container is exchanged when full.
Condensing your waste in this way brings a multitude of benefits. First and foremost, your skip will accommodate up to four times more waste than it does currently – which means huge savings on your transport costs.
Of course, ram compactors also save your employees time in their handling of waste – as your workers can simply place everything in the hopper of the compactor rather than spending valuable minutes manually crushing boxes.
The enclosed hook lift container reduces the need to use open-top skips. Reducing vehicle trips to site and encouraging a neater, tidier environment with no refuse blowing across the yard decorating the fences.
By giving you significant capacity, a ram compactor makes it easier to manage the waste.
Ram compactor rental agreements enable your business to take advantages of all the benefits above, without having to find the thousands of pounds it costs to buy a machine out right.
You can rent a ram compactor for one, three or five years, paying just a small fee each week – an investment which effectively pays for itself considering the savings you’ll make on your waste collections.
